Dark Horse Comics has expanded its relationship with Nickelodon on Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra beyond publishing to include merchandise, with the first products shipping in May. Dark Horse has published best-selling graphic novels (see, for example, "December BookScan--Top 20 Graphic Novels") and art books (see, for example, "'The Legend of Korra: The Art of the Animated Series'"); but these will be the first non-paper products.
The product lines will eventually include limited-edition statues, figurines, busts, plush, drinking glasses, cups, coffee mugs, coaster sets, magnets, playing cards, badges, pins, lunch boxes, sculptured pins, and more.
The first Legend of Korra products released under the new expanded license: coffee mug ($12.99), lunchbox ($14.99), magnet set ($8.99), and shot glass set ($19.99), will ship in May.
