Disney Interactive has announced the release date for the new 2.0 version of Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes (see "'Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes') as Tuesday September 23.
Disney recently announced that sales of the game will hit $1 billion will the addition of the new Marvel characters to the game this summer (see "Disney's 'Infinity' Will Hit $1B"). Disney also announced a pre-order program with the release date, which will allow consumer to receive a bonus Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel figure with pre-orders of the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack from select big box retailers.
The Starter Pack includes the Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) video game disc, the Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) base, 3 Marvel Super Heroes Figures (Iron Man, Thor and Black Widow), a Marvel's The Avengers Play Set piece, 2 Disney Infinity (2.0 Edition) Toy Box Games and a web code for online content. MSRP is $74.99. Additional individual figures, including Captain America, Hawkeye, and Hulk have an MSRP of $13.99.
Disney also recently announced the addition of the Marvel properties Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man to the line-up.
