Konami will introduce the Super Edition, a new package for its Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, with the Yu-Gi-Oh! The New Challengers set, the final booster set for 2014 (see “'Yu-Gi-Oh!' Pics and News”).
 
Yu-Gi-Oh!: The New Challengers Super Edition will arrive on December 5, after the November 7 release of the Yu-Gi-Oh! The New Challengers Booster Pack on November 7.  The Super Edition is a peg-able tuck box that contains three booster packs, plus one of 14 Super Rare cards.  With an MSRP of $9.99, the cost is less than purchasing three booster packs individually.  Konami has confirmed that the Super Edition will be available through both mass and hobby distribution.
 
The New Challengers set is the first time players can harness the full power of the Pendulum Summoning mechanic in their decks.  It introduces the Qliphort, a new Monster theme that harnesses the power of Pendulum Summoning like nothing before. 
 
The Burning Abyss theme, which is unique to the American market, will receive more support with this release, including a brand new Synchro Monster; as will players with Naturia, Heralds, and Machina theme decks.  New Xyz monsters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal TV series are included, as are cards for players with Superheavy Samurai, Satellarknight, Yang Zing, and Shaddoll theme decks.  The 100-card set contains 48 Commons, 20 Rares, 14 Super Rares, 10 Ultra Rares, and 8 Secret Rare Cards.
 
Konami recently released the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Alliance Deluxe Edition Box (see “'Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist Alliance Deluxe Edition Box'”), which will be followed by the October release of the Geargia Rampage Structure Deck (see “'YGO TCG: Geargia Rampage Structure Deck'”). 
 
Konami also recently announced the first 2015 Yu-Gi-Oh! release, Secrets of Eternity (see “'Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG: Secrets of Eternity'”).
