Platinum Studios honcho Scott Rosenberg has announced that Sahara writers Joshua Oppenheimer and Thomas Donnelly will adapt Cowboys and Aliens, which was created by Rosenberg, for Columbia Pictures.

 

Cowboys and Aliens, based on cowboys and Indians setting aside their differences to band together against an alien invasion, had languished at Dreamworks for three years before being taken on by the Sony-based Escape Artists.

 

This film project joins others in development from Platinum Studios (see 'Two Over Ten Unleashed' and 'Another Platinum Property Optioned').
