Genio formally announced its Myths and Legends CCG at Gencon last weekend (see 'Genio To Announce Myths and Legends CCG'), as well as providing some additional information to ICv2.  The game, currently slated for an early November release, will be hobby only for at least the first six months.  It will also be aggressively priced at $7.49 for starter decks and $2.49 for boosters.

Some changes will be made from the original South American releases, which have included 2,400 cards to date.  Although most of the game mechanics will be kept the same, Genio designers have 'balanced the power curve,' to move the customer from the goal of acquiring a few super-powerful cards to building decks.

The release schedule will also be somewhat different from the way it's been done in South America.  The first U.S. release, The Brotherhood, was the fifth release (of ten) and a compilation of the first four sets in South America.  It will include elements of a universal, vampire, Latin American, and Northern European mythology.
