Diamond Comic Distributors is planning a February 2006 release for a series of Sgt. Frog (Keroro Gunso) action figures produced by Kaiyodo in Japan.  Ranging between 3' and 4' tall, the five figures come on colorful blister cards and each figure comes with bonus parts and faces.  The figure assortment includes Sgt. Frog, Private Tamama, Corporal Giroro, First Sgt. Kururu, and Dororo.

The Sgt. Frog manga (published in the U.S. by Tokyopop) has become quite popular here while in Japan the manga has already spawned a TV anime (2005) and an anime feature film (due out in 2006).  This quirky science fiction comedy/alien invasion property has a strong appeal similar to that of Jhonen Vasquez' Invader Zim.
