Media Blasters has announced the acquisition of the 40-minute yaoi anime Boku Wa Konomama Kaeranai, which it plans to release in the U.S. in the first quarter of 2007 under the title I Shall Never Return.  The OAV, which was produced by J.C. Staff and released in 1998 is based on the yaoi manga of the same name by Uchida Kazuna, and it tells the sad tale of a confused and jealousy-ridden romance between two teenage boys that reaches a point of no return after one of the boys begins to date a girl.

Media Blasters is quickly becoming the leading distributor of yaoi anime in the U.S. with titles such as the recently announced Gakuen Heaven (see 'Media Blasters Snags Gakuen Heaven'), and previously issued titles such as Level C and Sensitive Pornograph, yaoi OAVs released under Media-Blasters' Kitty imprint. It is likely that Kitty will also release I Shall Never Return though no announcement concerning which Media Blasters imprint will handle the title has been made yet.
