'Dumbo' by Burton

Disney announced two geek films on Tuesday: a Dumbo remake with Tim Burton attached, and Tron 3. The remake of Dumbo will be made in live action with CGI effects (we’re guessing for the flying elephant), according to the Wall Street Journal, which broke the story. Burton directed the first of Disney’s live action fairy tales, Alice in Wonderland, which went on to gross over $1 billion worldwide. Another in that series of live action fairy tales, Cinderella, opens this weekend.
And Disney plans to begin filming a third Tron film this fall, according to Vancity Buzz. Joseph Kosinski, who directed Tron: Legacy will direct the new film. Garrett Hedlund is the only actor attached at this stage.
