At The GAMA Trade Show, Flying Frog Productions shared news of several upcoming expansions for both its Shadows of Brimstone miniatures game and Dark Gothic card game.
Shadows of Brimstone is a cooperative Western horror dungeon-crawl board game (see "'Shadows of Brimstone''"). The Caverns of Cynder Expansion offers a new OtherWorld for players to explore, with a set of 18 new double-sided map tiles. There are new Encounter cards, artifacts, OtherWorld threats, and map cards, as well as three enemy lava men figures to menace the heroes. Rlease is planned for Q3. MSRP was not announced.
Flying Frog also announced several Deluxe Enemy Packs for the game: Masters of the Void, The Scafford Gang, and Serpentmen of Jargono, for release in Q3 and Q4. The sets offer new enemies, cards, missions and miniatures to expand the game. MSRP was not announced.
The Colonial Horror Expansion for the Dark Gothic deck-building game is a standalone title, though it can be added to the base set (see "'Dark Gothic' Deck Building Game"). The set includes new Heroes and Villains, as well as new mechanics including Roaming Minions, Cursed Costs for some cards, and the ability to Protect cards from destruction. As a standalone title, the game is for 2-3 players. MSRP was not announced. Release is planned for Q3.
