The winners for the annual Power Retail Awards were recognized by the Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) at the trade organization’s recent show in Las Vegas. The Winners were presented with their awards at the GAMA Dinner on March 17. 

Nominations are open to any current GRD member that has been in business for at least 2 years.

Outstanding Organized Play Program:  Fan Boy Three (Manchester, UK)

Outstanding Marketing:  The Game Closet (Waco, TX)

Outstanding Store Design:  Kirwin’s Game Store (Catskill, NY)

Outstanding Store: The Game Closet (Waco, TX)

GAMA created the awards in 2010 to recognize excellence in game retailing. [Ed. note: ICv2 would like to acknowledge Fantasy Games in South Bend, IN, who was also nominated for the above awards as well.]

Total show attendance was 1,461, up 8.5% from last year (see “Attendance Tops 1,400 at GAMA Trade Show”).
