Transcendent’s Edge presents a secret facility located beneath the famous Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, a mysterious prison that can change itself to keep its prisoners trapped inside. The book includes a complete campaign that is designed to respond to the decisions the players make, written in the style of "choose your own adventure" books. The campaign can be run at different levels of difficulty, allowing gamemasters to use the Alcatraz facility for short games or longer campaigns.
The book will also offer an in-depth study of the city of San Francisco as it exists in the Valiant Universe. New rules for player and non-player characters are also included. MSRP was not announced.
