Dark Horse Comics has announced several high profile hardcover releases for October, including Richard Corben’s Rat God, the How to Pass as Human OGN, and the multiple miniseries-spanning Prometheus: The Complete Fire and Stone collection.

Eisner Award Hall of Fame inductee Richard Corben  (Heavy Metal, Creepy, Hellboy: The Crooked Man) channels H. P. Lovecraft in his latest work, Rat King.  Clark Elwood ventures into the back woods searching for his Native American girlfriend, and encounters a town of strange inhabitants, savage animals, and fearful creatures.  The 144-page hardcover releases on October 14 and has MSRP of $19.99.

How to Pass as Human is an original graphic novel written by Nic Kelman, with art by Pericles Junior (All Fall Down) and a cover by Terry Dodson (Harley Quinn, X-Men).  Kelmen is a prose writer best known for girls: A Paean and Video Game Art.  This story, written as a field guide, follows the world’s first android as it attempts to document the complex, contradictory and irrational behavior of humans for future androids who wish to pass undetected amongst humanity.  The 200-page hardcover will release on October 7 with an MSRP $19.99.

Dark Horse will collect the five divergent miniseries crossovers that documented a new chapter in the doomed Prometheus expedition from different perspectives (see "Dark Horse Adds 'Prometheus,' Reboots 'Aliens,' 'Predators,' & 'AvP'") in Prometheus: The Complete Fire and Stone.  The book collects the Prometheus: Fire and Stone, Aliens: Fire and Stone, Alien vs. Predator: Fire and Stone, and Predator: Fire and Stone four-issue miniseries, as well as the Prometheus: Fire and Stone -Omega one-shot.  The 480-page release will also include over 80 pages of new material.  Release is planned for October 21. MSRP is $49.99.

Dark Horse will also release The Complete Love Hurts, by Swedish author Kim W. Andersson (see "Dark and Brutal Swedish Romance Comics") and the paperback edition of The Fifth Beatle (see "'Fifth Beatle' Film Starts Over With Simon Cowell") in October.
