During an interview at the Toronto Film Festival, Rachel McAdams confirmed she will star in the upcoming Doctor Strange feature opposite Benedict Cumberbatch’s Sorcerer Supreme.

In a video interview with The Wrap, McAdams (Southpaw,Sherlock Holmes,The Time Traveler’s Wife) was asked about her next project. "I'm gonna go do Doctor Strange. Marvel… kind of a psychedelic Marvel comic, yeah, with Benedict Cumberbatch. I'm really looking forward to that," she said, declining to reveal what character she will play.

The last casting news was news for the film was that Mads Mikkelsen was in talks to play the villain (see “Geek Film News Round-Up”).

The film opens on November 4, 2016.
