The Bloody Inn is a satirical horror board game set in Peyrrebeille, France in 1831. Players take the role of family members who run an inn. The diabolical family is holding a contest to see who can rob their wealthy guests of the most francs. No crime is off limits, including murdering the guests, if it can be accomplished without getting caught.
The box contains 78 guest cards, 4 player aid cards, an inn game board, a first player card, 20 10F (10-franc) check tiles, 20 key/room service tokens, 4 white key tokens, 4 wooden player discs, and a 1 rulebook. The game is for 1 -4 players, ages 14 and up, and plays in 45 -60 minutes. MSRP is $29.99. Release date was not announced.
Raptor is a two player board game designed by “the Brunos” (Cathala and Faidutti) where players take the role of either a team of scientists, or a family of raptors. The scientists are trying to capture the baby raptors before they escape the park by corralling them and neutralizing their mother. The mother raptor is trying to protect her escaping babies, by taking out the scientists. Players use a bidding mechanic with cards to decide which player gets to move/attack. A modular game board and movable obstacles mean multiple layouts for good replayability.The box contains 16 figurines, 15 tokens, 9 cardboard rocks, 18 cards, 2 player sheets, a game board, and rules. The game is for 2 players, ages 10 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. MSRP is $34.99. Release is planned for November.
Timeline: Challenge is the new board game based on the award-winning historical knowledge series of card games (see “'Timeline' from Asmodee”). Players must face different trials and challenges as the clock ticks down, secretly locking in their answers to earn points. Cards from any edition of the Timeline card game series can be incorporated into the game for more fun. There are solo and team variants for the game as well.The box contains a game board, 5 player aids, 110 cards, 5 traveler tokens, and 5 historical boards. The game is for 2 – 10 players, 10 and up, and plays in 30 minutes. MSRP is $39.99. Release is planned for October.
Abyss: Kraken is an expansion for the Origins Award nominated Abyss board game (see “Asmodee Summer Releases”). The expansion adds new lords, locations, currency (black pearls) and allies – like the Kraken. The box contains 7 ally cards, 18 lord cards, 3 sentinel tokens, 6 location tiles, 25 loot cards, 25 black pearls, a Kraken figure, a transparent cup and a rulebook. As an expansion it requires the base game to play. MSRP is $29.99. Release is planned for Q4. Kemet: Ta-Seti is an expansion for Jacques Bariot and Guillaume Montiage’s mystic Ancient Egyptian area control/ card drafting game Kemet (see “Asmodee to Release 'Kemet'”). The expansion adds new and terrifying creatures to the game as players harness the powers of the Black Pyramid.The box contains 48 power tiles, 60 plastic soldiers, 7 giant figurines, 65 cards (33 Divine Intervention, 32 Combat), 97 tokens (34 Action, 5 turn markers, 5 Prayer, 53 Victory), and 6 boards (5 individual boards, 1 big reversible board).
