Insight Editions will expand its collectible book line with The Art of Jock, and continues its series of hardcovers exploring the worlds of key DC characters with two new hardcover volumes due out in the next few months,

High concept merch company Mondo has announced that it will collaborate with Insight to create The Art of Jock (working title), a collectible book featuring the work of the Mondo collaborator, comics artist (Wytches), and conceptual artist.  It will not only include his finished artwork, but also sketches and notes, plus interviews and quotes from colleagues, long-time collaborators, and directors of films he’s worked on.  No price or release date has been announced.

The World According to Wonder Woman, written by DC Comics writer Matthew K. Manning and artist Paul Bulman, portrays the world as seen by the character, from growing up on Themyscira to the Justice League.  Removable items include a map of Themyscira, newspaper clippings, Steve Trevor’s incident reports, and a page from a Themysciran book with the legend of Diana’s birth.  It’s due for release December 8.

The next volume in the series, The World According to Superman, will be written by legendary comics writer/editor Louise Simonson, with art by Marcus To, and colors by Greg Menzie and Irma Kniivila.  It gives Superman’s perspective on his life, including his childhood, his life as an alien, what it’s like to have secret identity, his sometimes strained relationship with Wonder Woman, and more.  Removable items include a blueprint of a Lex Luthor armored suit and a Superman poster.  Release date is March 15, 2016.

Both DC volumes are in the same square (9.25” x 9.25”) hardcover format at a $16.95 MSRP.
