Portal Games was showing off its new family game of fantasy racing, Crazy Karts, at the Gama Trade Show.  The new title will release in June.

Crazy Karts combines typical fantasy elements, such as elves, dwarves, and goblins with go-kart racing.  Players work together in two-member teams to win the race, each player taking responsibility for a different area, such as providing power, turning the kart, or firing weapons.  But, the members of each team are not allowed to communicate with one another during the race.

Crazy Karts was designed by Charles-Amir Perret (Oss).  The game includes 72 cards, 5 track boards, 9 player boards, 4 power tracks, 4 speedometers, 63 tiles, and 4 wooden kart tokens.  It is intended for 3 to 8 players, ages 8 and up, and plays in about 45 minutes.  MSRP has not yet been announced.

The new game joins three other projects Portal plans to release in 2016 (see “Three Portal Games Titles for 2016”).
