Joining the numerous other networks on which DC-based programming appears, NBC has ordered a first season of the DC workplace comedy Powerless, according to Variety. The network ordered the pilot in January (see “Post-Holidays Geek TV Round-Up”), and cast Vanessa Hudgens in the lead in February (see "End of February Geek TV Round-Up").
Hudgens will play an insurance agent helping to insure regular people against damage caused by superheroes, who stands up to a superhero and becomes a "hero" in her own right.
In addition to Hudgens, the series will star Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi, and Christina Kirk.
