Plaid Hat Games has announced two new expansion decks for Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn, to be made available before the end of the year: Ashes: The Duchess of Deception and Ashes: The Roaring Rose.

Ashes: The Duchess of Deception features the new Phoenixborn Victoria Glassfire. It focuses on Illusions, the manipulation of dice and cards, and tactical elements of surprise. It is ready to play and includes Victoria Glassfire, 24 spells, 6 allies, and 7 conjurations. It requires 10 Illusion dice to play. MSRP is $14.95.

Ashes: The Roaring Rose features the new Phoenixborn Leo Sunshadow. It focuses on Charms, unit support, and diminishing your opponent's deck. It is ready to play and includes Leo Sunshadow, 27 spells, 3 allies, and 11 conjurations. It requires 10 Charms dice to play. MSRP is $14.95.

Some copies of both expansions will be shown at Gen Con, with trade release to follow in late August or September.

Two expansions were released for Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn earlier this year: Ashes: The Frostdale Giants and Ashes: The Children of Blackcloud (see "Expansion, OP Announced for 'Ashes: Rise of the Phoenixborn'").
