New York Comic Con News: Lionsgate has released the first trailer for its new Power Rangers feature film, which is slated for release on March 24, 2017.  The trailer sets the scene as five teens, Zack Kimberly, Billy, Trini, and Jason, who are outcasts at their local high school, come together in an emergency situation, and, as the trailer ends, are beginning to discover their considerable powers.

Produced by Saban Entertainment and Lionsgate (see “Lionsgate to Make New Power Rangers”), the new film was written by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, the writing team that had a previous success with a film about a group of young superheroes (X-Men: First Class—see “Power Rangers Script Gets the X-Men Treatment”).

Lionsgate has released a new series of Action Posters for the Power Ranger Film (see “Power Rangers Action Poster”), a previous release of character posters for the colorful teen heroes (see “Power Rangers Character Posters”).
