There have been numerous developments in geek TV series recently, and we round them up here.

Netflix announced the return of Elodie Yung as a series regular in Marvel’s The Defenders through EW. Yung will reprise the role of Elektra, whose corpse was last seen being recovered by the Hand, the sinister group that will be the major antagonist in The Defenders.

Yung’s Elektra will be joining the previously announced return of Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) from Daredevil, Misty Knight (Simone Missick) from Luke Cage, Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick) from Iron Fist, Trish Walker (Rachel Taylor) from Jessica Jones, Stick (Scott Glenn) from Daredevil, and Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson) from all of the Marvel Netflix series (see “'Defenders,' 'Walking Dead,' 'Muppet Babies,' More” and “'The Defenders' Confirms Two Returning Characters”).

Freeform, Disney’s rebrand of ABC Family, has delayed its adaptation of Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger according to The Hollywood Reporter. Freeform announced the series development in April (see “'Cloak And Dagger' Bring Romance to TV”), but the show won’t debut until winter 2018 due to rewrites on the initial script submitted by showrunner Joe Pokaski. The delay may cause further trouble for the network, which is having difficulty establishing a foothold among the millennials that it was rebranded to attract.

/Film reports that Disney XD’s television series based on the hit film Big Hero 6 will be bringing back most of the voice cast from the movie. Ryan Potter (Hiro), Scott Adsit (Baymax), Jamie Chung (Go Go), Genesis Rodriguez (Honey Lemon), Maya Rudolph (Aunt Cass), Alan Tudyk (Alistair Krei), and even Stan Lee (Fred’s father, who appeared in the credits) are set to return. Damon Wayans Jr. (Wasabi) and T.J. Miller (Fred) won’t be back. Wasabi will instead by voiced by Khary Payton (The Walking Dead) and Fred by Brooks Whelan (Saturday Night Live).
