Image Comics will publish Meredith Gran’s Octopus Pie as a box set, bringing together five volumes of different shapes and sizes into a single package.
The series, which follows the misadventures of two twentysomething Brooklynites, was originally published as a webcomic and won two Ignatz Awards. The comic was partially published in several different print editions, and in 2016, Image began publishing it from the beginning, with the first three volumes in landscape format and the last two in the more conventional vertical format. The new box set, which features new wraparound artwork, is designed to hold the differently-shaped volumes in a 10" x 9" slipcase. It will be released on September 13, 2023, in comic shops and September 19, 2023, in bookstores.
