Calum Johnston of Strange Adventures Comic Bookshop in Halifax, Nova Scotia, saw the news about Steve Rotterdam being named Sales & Marketing SVP (see 'DC Has New S&M SVP') and hopes to see DC advertising in more categories:

 

Great news about someone with advertising experience coming into DC.  I'd love to see some better effort into selling the DC line in terms of getting advertisers, other than just video games.

 

Whatever happened to ad salespeople calling up businesses and getting quarter page ads, or a page or two of business card ads?  The audience reading comics must be of some interest to clothing companies, computer manufacturers, national chain stores, etc.
