Upper Deck sent us this statement, which it said was in response to feedback from retailers about the late release to the hobby channel of the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! boosters (see 'Upper Deck Deeply Apologizes').
Dear Retailer:
As many of you are aware, there was an announcement of an October 10, 2007 street date for the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game Premium Pack 1 Boosters.
A delay in manufacturing occurred for hobby shop orders, requiring us to move the street date from October 10, 2007 to October 24, 2007.
Unfortunately, the new street date was not effectively communicated through our distribution channel, resulting in some product being released on October 10th instead of October 24th.
We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this has caused our hobby retailers. Your business is an important key to our success, and both Konami Digital Entertainment and Upper Deck Entertainment are working diligently to resolve these types of errors and prevent them from repeating in the future.
Both Konami Digital Entertainment and Upper Deck Entertainment appreciate your patience and continued patronage while we resolve this matter.
