Due to an entry error, SimpsonMania Trading Cards was not entered as the #1 movie TV product for January. This has now been corrected (click here to see the new list). All of the other movie/TV products for January moved down one slot, and the Buckaroo Banzai DVD, which was #10, dropped off the list.
Because of the way our Top10 Cool section is constructed, there is an unfortunate side effect of this change, which is that the 'rank last month' slot on each product's listing is now incorrect for every product except the Simpsons Mania Trading Cards. That's because when we publish the new Top 10 Cool list, the system looks at the rank of the product before publishing, remembers it, and publishes it as the 'rank last month' in the new list. There's no way to fix that without some programming that will take awhile, and we thought it was more important to have the correct lists up immediately than it was to wait for the new programming to correct the 'rank last month' field. Our apologies for the confusion this causes and for the incorrect information that we originally published. We've also corrected the overview article, (see 'The Coolest in January').
