Variety is reporting that David (Flushed Away) Bowers will direct the new Astro Boy CGI feature.  Bowers replaces Colin Brady, previously announced as the director of the feature (see 'WB, Weinsteins Distributing Imagi Features'). 

 

Astro Boy is planned for a 2009 release.
