Privateer Press and Across the Pond Studios are teaming up to create a new three issue mini-series featuring the giant monsters from Privateer's kaiju-themed Monsterpocalypse CMG.  Atlanta-based Desperado Publishing, which is distributed to bookstores by Diamond Book Distributors, will publish the mini-series.  With story direction from Monsterpocalypse CMG creator Matt Wilson, a script by Stephan Nilson (Smallville) and Jason Avery, pencils by Karl Waller (X-Men), and covers by the Privateer Press stable of artists, the Monsterpocalypse comic book series will debut with the release of a preview Issue #0 at the San Diego Comic Con.  The first issue in the actual mini-series will be released in September.

Privateer Press is sponsoring a promotion for the Monsterpocalypse series, which will provide a limited edition Monsterpocalypse CMG figure to anyone who buys all three issues of the mini-series.  Details on the promotion will be available online this summer and will also be included in each issue of the mini-series.  The Monsterpocalypse comics should appeal to fans of giant fighting monsters and could also gain new players for the Monsterpocalypse CMG as more people become aware of the property.
