Diamond Select Toys has provided a first look at the latest release in its Marvel Select line of action figures, a superb action figure rendering (by Sam Greenwell) of the new Captain America.  Depicted with pistol and shield, the powerful action figure features 14 points of articulation and comes with a stylish gargoyle roof display stand.

The precedent-shattering, pistol-wielding Captain America figure is based on the design (by Alex Ross and Ed Brubaker) for the new version of Cap that appeared in Captain America #34 as James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes took over from Steve Rogers (see "Cap's Back in January").  Diamond Select plans to release the new Captain America Action Figure in the fall.  The new Captain America figure will retail for $20, the standard retail price for DST's Marvel Select Figures.
