The series debut of The Drinky Crow Show, which is based on Tony Millionaire’s comic strip The Maakies, is set for Sunday, November 23rd at 12:15am (ET, PT) on the Cartoon Network's Adult Swim.  The Drinky Crow Show originally aired on Adult Swim in May of 2007 as part of Adult Swim’s “Night of a Thousand Pilots” and quickly became one of the most popular on the potential new additions to the Adult Swim lineup.  Earlier this year the Cartoon Network ordered 10 episodes of Drinky Crow (see “Adult Swim Orders Up More Drinky Crow”).

With its unique (in terms of animation and comic strips at least) 18th Century nautical setting, The Drinky Crow Show follows the demented adventures of the eponymous besotted avian and his equally intemperate Uncle Gabby, an overweight drunken Irish monkey.

Fantagraphics Books has published seven collections of Millionaire’s The Maakies so far, and is planning to release Drinky Crow’s Maakies Treasury, a 272-page collection of the some of the best of Millionaire’s savagely funny strip, in May of 2009.
