Titan Books has announced that Captain Jack himself, John Barrowman, has written a Torchwood comic strip that will appear in issue #14 of Torchwood magazine, which will be released in the U.S. on the 17th of March (and in the U.K. and Ireland on February 19th).   Barrowman, who plays the leader of the Torchwood Three on the series, is writing the comic with his sister Carole E. Barrowman, a frequent collaborator, who was working with her brother on his autobiography when they came up with the concept for the Torchwood comic strip.

The Torchwood TV series, which was spun-off from Doctor Who, centers on the Cardiff branch of the Torchwood Institute, which investigates contacts with extraterrestrials.  The series was created by Russell T. Davies, the man behind the revival of the Doctor Who series, which has many interconnections with Torchwood.  In the U.S. Torchwood has aired on BBC America (see “Torchwood on American TV”).
