Jay Bardyla, owner of Happy Harbor Comics in Edmonton, Canada read the recent column by Steve Bennett (see "Confessions of a Comic Book Guy--I Was A Comic Book Commie") and responds to Bennett with the following:
Just because you like downloading comics instead of buying them doesn't make them "superior." Just because you took an informal poll at one store doesn't mean it applies worldwide. While I often find your columns interesting, I fear I see them continuing on a path not unlike Chuck Rozanski in his columns: my way is the best. It's not. It's your way, that's all and if you'd like to compare your microcosm to my microcosm, I'd be more than happy to explain to you how physical comics are far superior to digital ones.
