Codex Pictures will produce a 70-minute direct-to-DVD animated feature based on Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40k gaming universe.    The feature will use CGI and state-of-the-art animation production techniques, according to the announcement. 

Codex produced three Bionicle animated direct-to-DVD features between 2003 and 2005:  Mask of Light, Legends of Metru Nui, and Web of Shadows.
