Yamato USA has announced that it will release a figure based on DaiShogun, an in-production anime by Studio Anima based on the character designs of renowned illustrator Shunya Yamashita.  DaiShogun is planned as a multi-media event, with an anime and manga, plus character goods from Yamato.  This Yamato figure will be the first product based on the property to be released. 

 

The DaiShogun figure is a 13.25” PVC statue of Kiriko Hattori in Ninja Costume, sculpted by Mitsumasa Yoshizawa, with based and packaged in a Japanese ctyle collector’s window box.  It will ship in February/March at a $119.99 MSRP.

 

Needless - Eve is a new figure in Yamato’s Story! Image! Figure! Series, due out in January/February 2010.  The Needless anime is of relatively recent vintage in Japan, based on a Shueisha manga by Kami Imai that launched in 2004.  This figure is a 1/7 scale (9”) PVC for $98 MSRP.  The figure has a base and comes in a window box.

 

 

 

 

 

Umi Monogatari – Marin is drawn from the magical girl anime Umi Monogatari (Sea Story), based on the most popular Pachinko game in Japan.  This is also a 1/7 scale (9”) PVC figure in a window box, planned for January/February 2010 at $98 MSRP. 

 

Yamato is also planning two variants for early 2010.  Project Dynamite #002:  Naked Star, Baby Blue is a new limited edition blue hair version of the successful pink original.  It’s based on the Oh Great manga.  Nude, with see-through top.  It’s in 1/5 scale at $168 MSRP, planned for January/February.

 

And Queen’s Blade –Leina, White, a new variable motion figure, a 1/7 scale figure with 16 points of articulation, interchangeable writs, sword and shield, and an extra damaged head.  All for $89.95, shipping in February/March.
