ave Brzeski of The House On The Borderland in Peterborough, United Kingdom read the recent DC article regarding their upcoming Superman Crossover Event (see ''The War of the Supermen'') and had this to say:
Really? A major crossover event? You don't say? What a surprise! Is it any wonder my sales have dropped so low on the core DC titles (not to mention Marvel)?
It's OK for those few who want to (and can afford to) keep up with all the titles, but it's another reason yet more people will give up on their regular titles. And this is because they don't want to be faced with yet another choice, of either picking up a heap of extras, or having issues of their regular series that tie in with a major story they won't read the rest of.
Here's a thought: Why don't DC, Marvel, Image, Dark Horse & all the larger independents get together and organize one huge, year long, mega-crossover, which involves ALL their characters in ALL their titles (not forgetting to add a few hundred new miniseries and one-shots, while they're at it)? That way, everyone can give up reading everything and we can all take a nice long rest!!!
What? Me cynical????
