Corbit Wilkins of Captain Comics, Inc. in Boise, Idaho read Kendall Swafford's recent column (see "Talk the Talk, Walk the Walk--Time to Grow Up") regarding the possibility of having the weekly shipment arrive a day earlier and had this to say.

I have been asking to receive our weekly shipments a day early for years!  Not only would it make it much, much easier to get our shipment unpacked, counted, and ready to go, but the extra day would help when shipments are delayed a day due to weather (Roads and passes leading to Idaho close frequently!).  For Marvel, D.C., and the rest to worry about us putting the comics out in advance of the release date is absurd.  I agree with the other letters of late.  Stop treating us in this manner and let us do a better job getting ready for the big day each week!  Perhaps we could all sell more if we actually had the time to build proper displays, pull subscriptions with less rush--and more accuracy, and open the store without comics all over the counters!  Besides, the fine folks at UPS wouldn't have to put up with me arriving early every Wednesday trying to get our shipment (Our UPS opens at 10:00, yet our store opens at 10:30.  It's a nightmare each week!).

To all involved, PLEASE consider this request!  I really don't care what day you decide to use as the release day.  Just get our books to us in a manner more consistent with our needs.
