IDW Publishing announced today that comics industry veteran Dirk Wood is joining the company in the newly created position of Director, Retail Marketing, and that AnnaMaria White, the company’s first in-house marketing manager, had been promoted to Director, Marketing and Promotion.

Mr. Wood has over 16 years experience in the industry.  He served as Operations Manager for Things From Another World  for seven years before transitioning to Dark Horse Comics where he became Director of Communication.  Wood will focus his efforts on direct market retailers.

As Director of Marketing and PR, Ms. White will continue to expand IDW’s consumer marketing, oversee the company’s convention experiences, and serve as its primary public relations contact.
