The judge in Warners’ suit against Marc Toberoff, attorney for the Siegel and Shuster heirs, has put the case on hold pending an appeal of his ruling on a portion of Toberoff’s response (see “Siegel, Shuster Attorney Responds”), according to Hollywood Reporter.  The issue under appeal is that the judge has ruled a motion by Toberoff that Warners’ suit infringes on his right to free speech moot because Warners filed an amended complaint.  Toberoff disagrees.

Zack Snyder was recently signed to direct the next Superman movie (see “Zack Snyder to Direct Superman”), which moves this very longrunning litigation (in which the Siegel and Shuster heirs currently hold an advantage) into new megabucks territory.
