Dark Horse Comics is collaborating with Nickelodeon on a comprehensive publishing program built around Avatar: The Last Airbender. Two Avatar stories, the unpublished “Relics” and the iconic “Dirty Is Only Skin Deep,” will be available in Dark Horse's Free Comic Book Day flipbook with a Star Wars: The Clone Wars story on the other side.

Then on July 13th, Dark Horse will publish Avatar: The Last Airbender—The Lost Adventures, a massive 240-page comic  collection with over 70 pages of new material plus long-out-of-print Avatar stories from Nickelodeon Magazine. Many of the stories that appeared in the magazine were drawn by artists who worked on the animated series, making this anthology of 26 stories especially attractive to Avatar fans.

Going forward, Dark Horse Comics will create all-new Airbender stories that will be published as digest-sized original graphic novels starting in early 2012. These new stories will start where the Season 3 finale of the Airbender series ended and provide fans with new adventures of Aang and his friends.
