Monkey House Games has signed a distribution deal with RPG specialists Cubicle Seven that will result in the return of the Villains and Vigilantes Role-Playing Game to hobby shops and game stores for the first time in over 20 years. Designed by Jack Herman and Jeff Dee, who are still in charge of Monkey House Games, the first edition of Villains and Vigilantes was published in 1979, which makes it the first superhero RPG set in the contemporary world, predating Champions (1981) and Superworld (1983).
Cubicle Seven’s distribution of the Villains and Vigilantes RPG will begin in July with the release of two products: Villains and Vigilantes 2.1 and Intercrime: Hostile Takeover for V&V.
Cubicle Seven will carry all book-length products from Monkey House Games including Living Legends. Consequently Monkey House Games will be permanently closing its print-on-demand operations from Lulu, effective June 30, 2011.
