Kodansha USA has announced the addition of four new titles to its 2011 fall release schedule that already includes the return of Naoko Takeuchi’s Sailor Moon manga, the debut of her earlier Codename: Sailor Star V, and the continuation of Ken Akamatsu’s Negima (see “Sailor Moon Manga Returns”). In September Kodansha USA is also bringing back Akamatsu’s earlier shonen harem comedy classic Love Hina in a new Omnibus Edition that will include a new translation of Volumes 1-3 of the original Love Hina series for a cover price of $19.99. Also in September, Kodansha is returning Reiko Yoshida’s popular shojo series Tokyo Mew Mew to print. It will be available in a newly translated Omnibus Edition that includes Volumes 1 and 2 of the original series for $14.99.

In November Kodansha USA is releasing two volumes, which are based on popular manga series, but which have never been released in North America before. Shugo Chara Chan! Vol. 1 ($10.99) collects yonkoma (4-panel) strips created by Peach-Pit and others featuring the Shugo Chara characters from the popular Peach-Pit shojo manga series that ends with Volume 12, which is due out in September.

@Full Moon ($10.99), which is also due in November, is the sequel to Sanami Matoh’s gender-bending shonen-ai saga Until the Full Moon about a half-vampire, half-werewolf who undergoes another frightening full moon transformation—he turns into a woman! The 2-volume @Full Moon series was published in Japan in 2008 a decade after the 2-volume Until the Full Moon appeared in 1998.
