Nizar and Mahdi Abrahams of Readers Den Comic Shop in Cape Town, South Africa share their store's wonderful Free Comic Book Day experience.
Greetings from Cape Town, South Africa! Free Comic Book Day 2011 was a total blast and it was our best one with well over 1,000 people attending. Everyone had fun with with free comics, sales, discounts and specials, lucky draw competitions, costume competition, local comics showcase, anime screenings, Gundam displays and demos!
The only disappointment was the HeroClix Green Lantern figures shipping late, which means it did not make it in time for the day, but we gave people vouchers to collect afterwards. We look forward to FCBD 2012!
