Disney has released a trailer for The Muppets, which opens on November 23rd, and stars Jason Segel and Amy Adams along with all your favorite Muppet characters.  The first Muppet movie since Muppets in Space came out in 1999, The Muppets, which was written by Segel and Nicholas Stoller (the team responsible for Forgetting Sarah Marshall), and directed by James Bobin, the co-creator of the HBO series Flight of the Conchords, represents a major effort on Disney’s part to revitalize the Muppet franchise. Marvel is getting in the act by publishing some of Roger Langridge’s Muppet comics (see “Marvel to Publish Langridge’s Muppets Comics”).

The Muppets movie will feature cameos by a huge list of Hollywood celebrities who are eager to pay homage to the puppets that inspired and entertained them in their youth.  In addition Pixar has produced a new Toy Story short that will be shown with The Muppets movie.
