David N. Baxter, the Superintendent of the Kennard Independent School District in Texas, saw the Marksman #1 preview (see "Preview: 'Marksman' #1") and had this to say.

I just looked at the preview of Marksman by David Baxter.  My name is David Baxter; I live in The Oil Rich Lone Star State (Texas) and spend every moment I can outdoors, teaching outdoor education and survival skills.  I am sometimes referred to as "Shooter," because I shoot so often (hunting and practice) and am never without protection, I live in condition orange.  I am a public educator and enjoy a happy but relatively solitary existence.

I discovered Marksman because an acquaintance contacted me and said that he had seen a preview of my comic, to which I replied what comic?  He told me about what he had seen regarding Marksman and insisted that I HAD TO BE THAT DAVID BAXTER, because that's the stuff I always say just might happen one day, and that I was prepared.  I think he thinks I'm lying to him still when I say it's not me, that there is obviously another brilliant David Baxter out there who knows his guns and survival and who has a wonderful imagination (just like me).

So please tell David Baxter that David Baxter wishes him all the success in the world and that he can count on me as a regular reader and supporter.  I may even start the David Baxter fan club.
