Three major new releases hit the digital world this week: the first volume of Sin City, the first three volumes of Vampire Hunter D, and a new Green Lantern app. Dark Horse has released the first volume of Frank Miller’s Sin City at $5.99 in its Web and app stores, the first Frank Miller material Dark Horse has made available digitally. This is the volume that inspired the first story in the Sin City movie. The digital version, which carries the new Frank Miller art created for the cover of the latest edition, sells for $5.99 in the app store and $7.99 on the Web. 
 
On the manga front, comiXology has partnered with Digital Manga to release the first three volumes of Vampire Hunter D for iOS, Android, and the Web. Dark Horse publishes the print editions in association with Digital Manga. 
 
And DC has released a Green Lantern app to take advantage of the movie publicity. It offers over 200 Green Lantern comics, movie trailers, previews of the upcoming Green Lantern DVD and videogames, and the comic store locator.
