Dynamite Entertainment has announced the August release of the first issue of The Living Corpse: Exhumed, a six-issue mini-series by Ken Haeser and Buzz Hasson featuring everybody’s favorite zombie hero. At the same time Dynamite is also releasing The Living Corpse: Post Mortem Vol. 1 trade paperback, a 230-page collection that includes The Living Corpse #0, 1/2, #1-#6, and Annual #1.  In addition Dynamite is posting the entire first issue of The Living Corpse online where it can be read for free and serve as an introduction to this unique series.

Dynamite is also working with Shoreline Entertainment on a CGI-animated movie of The Living Corpse, which is just wrapping up production and is due out this year (see “The Living Corpse Optioned”).

The Living Corpse follows the adventures of a self-aware zombie who acts as a gatekeeper between the land of the living and the horrors of the other realms.  “TLC” is a good guy, or at least as good as anything with a taste for human brains can be. In the new series his routine is profoundly disturbed when a Nosferatu moves into the graveyard and starts putting the moves on TLC’s friend Lilith setting off a battle of the undead.

Zornow Cover
The Living Corpse: Exhumed #1 will ship with covers by Haeser and Hasson (50%), by Halloween and Godzilla comics artist Jeff Zornow (25%), as well as a “movie exclusive” cover (25%) featuring art from the new film.
