Comic-Con News—It’s time to grab your Swiss Army knife, paper clips, baking soda, and toilet paper tubes. Image Comics has announced a 5-issue MacGyver: Fugitive Gauntlet mini-series, which will be supervised by MacGyver TV series creator Lee David Ziotoff, written by Tony Lee (Doctor Who) and illustrated by Becky Cloonan (American Virgin, Demo).

 

According to Comic Book Resources, the MacGyver: Fugitive Gauntlet will debut in the summer of 2012 in part in order to give the creators enough time to make sure that release deadlines will be met.  Still unknown—will the MacGyver character in the new comic have the iconic likeness of Richard Dean Anderson, who was the face of the franchise on TV?
