The SyFy Channel is renewing Warehouse 13 for a fourth season. Warehouse 13, which has been described as a combination of The X-Files, Moonlighting, and Raiders of the Lost Ark, is the cable channel’s flagship scripted drama series.  The series’ first six episodes all rank among the top 10 highest rating series episodes on SyFy.  The premiere of Season 3, which aired on July 11th, 2011, was viewed by an audience of over 3.5 million—and women made up nearly 50% of the show’s audience, a very high percentage for a science fiction series in particular and for the SyFy channel in general.

As Deadline points out, SyFy used Warehouse 13 as the launching platform for the cable net’s newest drama series, Alphas.  This month Dynamite is launching its licensed Warehouse 13 comic book series, which is actually one of the most interesting “under the radar” comic book series debuts of a year that has seen a number of high profile licensed comic books announced.  Warehouse 13 has a dedicated audience that savvy retailers will want to exploit.
