Robert Zemeckis will produce a film adaptation of the Dark Horse graphic novel Fort: Prophet of the Unexplained, with Evan Spiliotopoulos writing, according to Hollywood Reporter.  The graphic novel, by Peter Lenkov and Frazer Irving, tells the story of Charles Fort, a late 19th century writer who developed alternate explanations for paranormal phenomena. 

Zemeckis is the producer of Real Steel, opening this weekend, and has experience with comic adaptations, including the TV show Tales from the Crypt, which he executive produced.  Zemeckis directed the motion capture adaptation of Polar Express.
