The digital comics revolution continued its relentless creep forward today as Marvel announced the debut of the Marvel Comics App (powered by comiXology) for Android devices.  Marvel’s digital comics will now be available for Android powered phones and tablets.  An added bonus for consumers is that any digital comics purchased will sync with Comics by comiXology and Marvel Apps for the iOS (Apple operating system).  Fans who login to the Marvel Comics App on either Android or Apple iOS devices using their Marvel.com username & password will be able to sync purchases on either platform.

 

With the recent announcement of Amazon’s new Android-powered Kindle Fire tablet, having an Android app has become increasingly important for publishers of digital comics.
