Marvel continues to release additional information about its Avengers vs. X-Men event, which debuts in April.  The 12-part series will feature input from the top “architects” of the Marvel Universe including the writers Brian Michael Bendis, Jonathan Hickman, Ed Brubaker, and Matt Fraction, and the artists Olivier Coipel, Adam Kubert, and John Romita, Jr. will be illustrating the first issue of Avengers vs. X-Men, which will street on April 3rd.

The first two images put the spotlight on the throwdowns between Iron Man and Magneto, which Marvel balanced on the distaff side by releasing an image of Black Widow vs. Psylocke.

In addition to the core Avengers vs. X-Men title, which was announced in December (see “Avengers vs. X-Men”), the AVX event will be confined to the Avengers and X-Men titles with the exception of the just announced AVX fight book, which solely focus on the titanic tiffs between Marvel heroes (see “AVX: Versus 12-issue Series”), the very sort of earthshaking smackdowns that these newly released images promise.
