Jason Bardyla of Happy Harbor Comics & Toys in Jasper, Edmonton, and Calgary, Alberta, who saw our recent article on Marvel prices (see ''Marvel Decides' To Raise Prices') and remembered our earlier coverage of  Marvel president Bill Jemas' response to DC's price increases (see 'Jemas:  Read My Lips -- No Price Increases'), sent us this comment.

So, after taking DC to task earlier this year for raising prices, especially on the 'Adventure' series of books, Marvel is finally following suit with not only as many increased books, but higher increases.  This just goes to prove that the figureheads at Marvel like to speak their minds not because they are taking an important stance but so that they can generate whatever publicity they can get at that moment.  All in all, it's sad.
